The Northeast Region covers Alberta’s oil sands heartland and Lakeland area. It spans from Lac La Biche and Plamondon, through Bonnyville, Cold Lake, and Glendon, up to Fort McMurray and surrounding Indigenous communities like Janvier, Conklin, and Fort McKay. It also reaches east to Kehewin Cree Nation, Frog Lake, and Fishing Lake Métis Settlement. This area is powered by industries such as oil and gas, trades, and heavy equipment, while also maintaining deep connections to agriculture, culture, and the land. If you’re from a small lakeside community, a growing town, or part of a First Nation or Métis settlement, our Northeast Team ensures you know where to turn for support, training, and opportunities right where you live.
