Calling all Skilled Trades Professionals! School of Trades Soft Skills Connection Event
Grasslands Public School Division and CAREERS Next Generation invites skilled trades industry professionals to connect with high school students currently enrolled in the Prairie Sky Collegiate Trades Program dual credit program, offered in partnership with Lethbridge Polytechnic.
Lunch will be provided for all students and participating industry professionals!
This informal event gives students the opportunity to practice essential employability and soft skills in a real-world setting. While students have developed hands-on trade skills through their dual credit coursework, this session will focus on communication skills such as talking about themselves, answering questions, and engaging professionally.
Industry professionals will meet with students in small groups to ask questions, share insights, and offer feedback. Whether you are currently hiring or simply interested in connecting with future trades professionals, your participation helps students build confidence in a low-pressure, casual environment.
This is a great opportunity to meet motivated students, connect with other industry professionals, and support workforce development in our community.
