The CO-OP model allows apprentices to get the hours needed to complete their technical training.<\/p>\n<p>The program will begin with positions available in plumbing, steamfitter\/pipefitter, electrical, and refrigeration and air conditioning(HVAC).<\/p>\n<p>APPLICANTS ARE:<br \/>\nRecently graduated from high school and under the age of 21.<br \/>\nLooking for a hands-on career in central Alberta.<br \/>\nCertified in CSTS2020 Fundamentals.<br \/>\nA valid class 5 driver with reliable transportation.<br \/>\nAble to pass employer on-boarding requirements.<br \/>\nExperience in skilled trades and\/or construction would be an asset.<br \/>\nCO-OP INTERNSHIPS ARE:<br \/>\nPaid apprenticeship positions with multiple central Alberta employers.<br \/>\nAligned with AIT guidelines.<br \/>\nLearning opportunities in diverse environments and for expanding networks with central Alberta industry leaders.<br \/>\nA means to support central Alberta communities and youth in achieving journeyperson status.<\/p>\n<p>Limited positions available.<br \/>\nDeadline for applications is January 31.<\/p>\n<p>Apprenticeships will begin in April.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LOOKING TO GET A HEAD START ON YOUR APPRENTICESHIP JOURNEY?
