Mark your calendar and plan to join us this summer at the 11th Annual Eric Newell “Kidz in Careers” Golf Tournament, presented by Fort McKay!  We are delighted to bring back this fun and most importantly safe event this year and will be following AHS guidelines for outdoor gatherings.

Once again, we will be hosting our tournament at Heritage Pointe, recognized industry wide as one of the top golf facilities in North America.

So, dust off your clubs and take advantage of this opportunity to network and mingle with industry professionals in a safe, outdoor setting.

Our Commitment to Your Safety

As the safety of guests and staff throughout the golf tournament is our top priority, we have established precautions and preventative measures, including low touch transactions and frequent sanitization procedures, to ensure everyone’s health and safety.

We will be posting tournament updates here, along with our social media channels and emails to golfers one-week prior to tournament date.

In the meantime, if you have any questions about the tournament, please contact Sylvia at golf@nextgen.org.

Thanks again to our sponsors for making this day possible!

ABOUT “KIDZ IN CAREERS”

In 2009, we held our first Eric Newell ‘Kidz in Careers’ Golf Classic and paid tribute to its namesake, former Syncrude Canada CEO and CAREERS Founding Chair, Eric Newell. It’s been twelve years since the first tee off and we couldn’t be prouder to honour the work he started – helping Alberta youth on their path to rewarding careers. Thanks to the generous support of all our partners, this important annual fundraiser has raised over $1,000,000 for student programming!  And, although the tournament will look slightly different this year, as we will be following Alberta Covid-19 Health guidelines re: outdoor gatherings, we still promise you a day of fun and friendships – all in support of a great cause – Alberta youth!

In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, CAREERS has made some changes to protocol to keep team members, students, employers and partners safe.  Please review before coming to our office or in-person meetings. For information on whether a specific event is happening, please contact a CAREERS team member.
